How to Select Suitable Manual Hoist Trolley

Electric hoist manual trolley

1. Confirm matching hoist rated load

First select trolley working load according to the rated capacity of your electric hoist. The trolley’s WLL must be equal to or higher than the hoist’s lifting capacity. Common specifications: 0.5T,1T,2T,3T,5T,10T. Never overload the trolley.

2. Measure I-beam / H-beam flange width

Check the bottom flange width of your overhead I/H beam, manual trolley has adjustable wheel spacing to fit different beam sizes. Measure actual beam width before purchase to avoid installation failure.

3. Check beam type

Standard trolley fits ordinary I-beam, wide-flange H-beam. Special shaped steel needs customized trolley structure. Confirm track is horizontal and without serious deformation.

4. Working environment selection

  • Indoor normal environment: standard painted trolley;
  • Humid, corrosive workshop: hot-dip galvanized anti-rust trolley.

5. Installation space limitation

Check the vertical clearance between beam bottom and roof to ensure enough mounting height for trolley + electric hoist assembly. Compact space chooses low-headroom type manual trolley.

6. Frequency of use

Occasional light-duty use: standard cast steel trolley; frequent heavy-load working: thickened plate reinforced trolley for better durability.
